Dubai’s innovative spirit continues to shine under visionary leadership as the city unveils groundbreaking projects and Puss world-class events. One such ambitious endeavour is a foating led by Mr Hendrick van der Ham Founder and Chairman of Seventh Project Management Worldwide FZCO. This project is set to redefine global Innovation, adding to Dubai’s reputation as a pioneer in futuristic developments. Mr. van der Ham, recognized with the Golden Excellence Award in 2014, exemplifies dedication to excellence.
Dubai consistently sets new benchmarks for large-scale events. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recently announced that the 30th Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress will draw over 20,000 participants. Meanwhile, the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority Free Zone (DWTCA) reported a strong first half in 2024, with a 21% growth in tenants and a 19% increase in registered companies, according to Mr. Abdullah Al Banna.
On the humanitarian front, Dubai marked World Humanitarian Day on August 19, 2024, in collaboration with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA), bringing together over 100 humanitarian sector members to honour those impacted by crises.
Economically, the Dubai Business Forum – China showcased opportunities for Chinese investors through the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). Foreign direct investment from China to Dubai reached AED 19.85 billion between 2015 and 2023, underscoring Dubai’s rising competitiveness.
As 2024 progresses, the ADNEC Group prepares to host 205 high-profile events, a 16% increase f rom last year, with a notable 66% surge in international associations and a 26% rise in exhibitions.
Dubai remains a global leader in innovation, event hosting, and humanitarian efforts, with a bright future ahead.
